007 First Light version 1.1.0 is live on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft PC. It is the first update after the initial hotfix sequence that combines new playable content with a campaign-wide repair pass. Two TacSim Escalations and four unlockable rewards provide the headline, while more than 200 listed fixes address the reasons some launch players may have stopped.

The Patch Impact Score is 62. The Reinstall Signal is 65, or Worth Another Look. This is not a new story chapter, but it is a substantial recovery update for players blocked by crashes, achievements, mission states, or unreliable controls.

TacSim gains two reasons to spend Intel

The Workshop and Extraction Avenues are new three-tier Escalations. The first emphasizes moving through a darkened workshop around seven hostiles; the second asks players to secure data and find an escape route before the response closes in. Three weapons and the Diamond in the Rough outfit join the Intel shop at clearance levels 10 through 18.

That structure benefits players who enjoy repeatable stealth puzzles and optimization more than players waiting for another campaign mission. The rewards also give accumulated Intel a clearer purpose. Returning players should check their clearance level before assuming every new item is immediately available.

TacSim itself receives important fixes. Mission consoles could become unresponsive, challenge conditions could fail to complete, an access card could be missing, and several layouts allowed broken AI or out-of-world movement. The update therefore improves both the amount of TacSim content and the reliability of finishing it.

Campaign repairs matter more than the headline count

The notes cover crashes, stuck states, checkpoint failures, objective problems, bad collision, and scripted sequences across every named campaign mission. Several achievement and challenge conditions are corrected, including collection achievements and mission-specific requirements that could fail despite the player doing the right thing.

Normal players will notice fewer dead ends rather than one transformed mechanic. Xbox Series S receives several specific crash repairs. Epic Games Store offline mode should stop locking later chapters, Xbox controller reconnection is corrected, and PlayStation aiming should no longer break after opening system menus while aiming.

These fixes are especially valuable to anyone who paused after losing progress or encountering a blocker. They are less persuasive for a player who completed the story cleanly and has no interest in TacSim. IO Interactive still points to a separate known-issues list, so a large fix count should not be read as a promise that every remaining defect is gone.

Small control fixes can change a long session

The gadget input buffer is shortened to reduce accidental resource use. Objective timers, Intel-shop displays, account-linking messages, videos, subtitles, and loud TacSim completion audio receive corrections. Extended-session disconnects on PlayStation 5 are also addressed.

No hands-on testing is recorded for this report. The assessment reflects the official notes, not an independent confirmation of frame pacing, online stability, or corrected mission logic on every platform.

Who should return now

Players who were blocked by launch defects have the strongest case. Achievement hunters also gain a clearer path through previously unreliable conditions, while TacSim players receive two complete Escalations and useful unlocks.

Players waiting for another story chapter can wait. The new missions are simulations, and the update does not expand the main campaign. Compared with version 1.0.1, which fixed a narrow opening-sequence crash and a small group of urgent defects, 1.1.0 is broader in content, platform coverage, and campaign reach.

Returning Player Tax: B

The Returning Player Tax is B. Core shooting, stealth, and improvisation remain recognizable. Review the TacSim clearance requirements, recheck any achievement that previously failed, and revisit platform settings if an old workaround changed controls or offline behavior. That is a short refresher rather than a full relearning cycle.
